Welcome to the Iscle de Prelles*** campsite and winter caravan park. Ideally located in an unspoiled natural environment between the Ecrins National Park and the Queyras Régional Park, on the banks of the River Durance and only 3mn away fron Briançon, the Iscle de Prelles is open from december to september. The campsite comprises 100 spacious pitches, some with comfortable mobile homes and wooden chalets, in an enclosed area of 4 hectares. Our campsite in Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur is close to the great sites of Pagnol country: an hour from Aix-en-Provence and Mont Sainte Victoire, 20 minutes from the town of Aubagne and 13 kilometres from the port of Cassis.  Located just a few minutes from the centre of the pretty little village of Ceyreste, with a well dating back to the Romans and narrow streets known as « cabarote ». The town itself is renowned for its imposing Roman ruins, its medieval _old town_ as well as its large and fascinating Provencal market each Tuesday. The town has two large supermarkets, a wide range of smaller shops as well as many excellent restaurants. English newspapers are available from early morning in the town. The area benefits from the lovely Provencal climate. Camping Théâtre Romain caters for couples and families who are looking for a peaceful and spotlessly clean campsite. It is the perfect spot to appreciate the beauty of Provence and the history of the area. Established in 1994 the campsite is less than 600 yards from the town centre, a gentle stroll past the ruins of a Roman town and its Roman theatre. We have 66 pitches as well as 16 Mobile Homes for rent situated on over 3 acres. The pitches are mainly separated by hedges interspersed with mature trees to provide partial shade.
