There are nearly 600 campsites in Denmark. The kingdom is one of the smallest Scandinavian countries, formed by the Jutland peninsula and more than 400 islands. The most important are the island of Funen - Fyn and Seeland - Sjælland. Danish campsites are often found in the most scenic parts of the country, and two-thirds are located near the sea. Summers are mild and winters are cool, allowing nearly 200 establishments to remain open year-round .

For your stay you will be asked to buy a camping permit at a large number of campsites in Denmark. The "Camping Key Europe" is available at the reception of the campsite, in tourist offices and via the internet.
