There are nearly 600 campsites in Denmark. The kingdom is one of the smallest Scandinavian countries, formed by the Jutland peninsula and more than 400 islands. The most important are the island of Funen - Fyn and Seeland - Sjælland. Danish campsites are often found in the most scenic parts of the country, and two-thirds are located near the sea.
