For splendour of position, Cala Llevadó can compare with almost any in this guide. A beautifully situated cliff-side site, enjoying fine views of the sea and coast below, it is shaped something like half a bowl with steep slopes. High up on the site, with a superb aspect, is the attractive restaurant/bar with a large terrace overlooking the pleasant swimming pool directly below. There are terraced, flat areas for caravans and tents (with 10/16A electricity) on the upper levels of the two slopes, with a great many individual pitches for tents scattered around the site. Some of these pitches have fantastic settings and views. The site is unsuitable for campers with disabilities. In some areas cars may be required to park separately.
Facilities:
Four very well equipped toilet blocks are immaculately maintained and well spaced around the site. Baby baths. Laundry facilities. Motorcaravan services. Gas supplies. Fridge hire. Large supermarket. Restaurant/bar (5/5-28/9). Swimming and paddling pools. Three play areas. Botanic garden. New amphitheatre (2011) with entertainment for children and adults. Our Camping Village has been run for 60 years with the same philosophy: to offer a pleasant and peaceful holiday while respecting one's own and others' privacy. The pitches are all delimited and, for the most part, separated from each other by hedges of spontaneous bush. Cars have a separate car park and are not allowed to circulate inside the Camping Village. The entire facility is immersed in the shady coastal pine forest of the Maremma. Dogs are allowed on the pitches and in some rented facilities under the conditions indicated in the regulations. A restaurant, bar, grocery shop, bazar, bike rent and tours, and a sailing and windsurfing school are available to our guests. Complete service groups guarantee guests minimal travel to their pitches. In addition, the Camping Village is equipped with a camper service and free Wi-Fi. Racks for hulls and a facility for hanging and washing sails are available for surfers. Excursions can be booked with an Environmental Tourist Guide. There is a small playground and in high season sports activities are organized for children. Reservations guarantee a place that will be chosen from the free places on arrival. Magazines specialized in tourism, such as the German magazine Caravaning, often devote articles to the Maremma Sans Souci, describing its structural characteristics, but above all the quietness and nature of the place. Minors are not accepted unless accompanied by their parents for the whole duration of their stay.
