Welcome to Camping Maisonneuve, St Jory de Chalais. We are a small, family-run campsite, set in 26 acres, within the Parc Naturel Régional Périgord-Limousin, in Périgord Vert, Dordogne. We have 40 touring pitches, as well as mobile homes and wooden pod available for rental. All pitches are generously sized, averaging 100 sq m, some sunny, some shady and all bordered by mature trees and hedging, with access to an electric hook-up. Many pitches also have private water connection points, and we have hard-standing pitches available for those who prefer.
On site you’ll find fully-licensed bar and pizzeria, Au Château d’Eau, with a wide range of drinks and home-cooked pizzas available, served either inside or out on the terrace. Our visitors can enjoy a sun-lounger by the swimming pool and benefit from free Wi-Fi and a big-screen in the bar for those important sporting occasions.
There is plenty to explore in the region, whether it be beautiful ancient villages, historic châteaux, breathtaking deep gorges, prehistoric caves, or taking a canoe down the Dordogne, the Vézère or the Dronne. However, if you would like to stay on-site, you can take a ramble around the campsite – we have a private fishing lake and woodland walks along the River Touroulet right on our doorstep.

The La Sagne campsite in Vitrac, nestled in the heart of the Périgord Noir, near Sarlat (8km), along the Dordogne River, offers an exceptional setting. Set in a former farm, it provides spacious pitches, mobile homes, and furnished tents for a complete immersion in nature. It's the ideal place for relaxing and authentic vacations, where you can fully appreciate the surrounding natural beauty and explore the riches of the region

The department is all valleys, gorges, cliffs, caves, hills and dells. It is divided into 4 areas:
Périgord Noir or Black Perigord that gathers the rivers Vézère and Dordogne valleys, the most famous. Most 5-star campsites of Dordogne are located there such as Camping Le Saint Avit, Camping le Soleil Plage and Camping Les Peynerals.
Périgord Blanc or White Perigord stretches over the department's central part, around the Isle valley.
Périgord Vert or Green Perigord matches Périgord regional natural park.
Périgord Pourpre or Purple Perigord gathers bastides - fortified towns - and vineyards. It is Bergerac country.
Dordogne is also a land with great food and culinary traditions with such hits (and can't miss) such as foie gras, truffle, ceps, Monbazillac wine, hazelnuts and even caviar...
