I love the atmosphere and location so much that I hope to return every Summer. The freedom to enjoy the lovely pool and outdoor bar and the walks along the Vezere and surrounding countryside are stunning. We didn’t have electricity and appreciated the freezer to cool our ice blocks to keep our food fresh and our drinks cool also our butter to go with the delicious croissants and pain au chocolat/raisin freshly ordered very morning. We hope to return next year with our family as the facilities are amazing for children and there are so many fascinating places to visit close by.

Sometimes toilets were locked and the toilet paper wouldn’t come out of the holder. When the weather was cooler the hot water was cooler first thing in the morning.

The pitches are well laid out and we managed to get a pitch with water nearby. Private pitches, lovely staff, clean and quiet. Not too far from the village with a lovely walk along the river. Had a drink and snack in the bar and ordered pastries and bread in the evening for the following morning. Had a walk to the restaurant on the corner and had a fantastic bison burger. Originally booked for 2 nights extended for another 2 as liked it so much.

Die tolle Atmosphäre auf dem Campingplatz. Morgens den guten Kaffee an der Bar genießen, der tolle Pool, Bouleplatz und saubere Waschanlagen. Die Nähe zum Bahnhof, 10 Minuten zu Fuß, war für uns von Vorteil, da wir ohne Auto angereist sind.

We had a quiet, level pitch with plenty of privacy. With hindsight, we would have been better parking under trees as the day was hot and shade was limited but not really a problem. The facilities were outstanding. Plenty of hot water in the showers. Immaculate showers and toilets. The walk from the site along the river was beautiful. Two kingfishers seen during one walk. There was a green space for our dog to run and the site even provided dog-poo bags. It was recommended to us by a friend who regularly stays there and we would certainly stay again.

Although the weather this time was not as good as expected, we had a very good time at la riviere. This family-run campsite is the ideal location for excursions and activities. The atmosphere with the beautiful old buildings and large trees is very nice, and the owners and staff are very helpful and friendly! We love the situation next to the river Vezere, where you can take a walk or go jogging.

Shady pitches, good pool, clean toilet/showers, good frites, great location we didn’t go far the whole stay to get to lots of activities, we could walk to the canoe place

Not at all the fault of the campsite but noise from Les eyzies made it less peaceful than it would have been, in particular music in the evening

Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean and well maintained sanitary blocks. Large pool. The campsite is located next to the river, within walking distance of the town and right in the center of the caves and castles of the region. Highly recommended!

Les Eyzies and the Dordogne region are absolutely beautiful. The region has so much incredible history dating back to prehistoric times. Camping La Rivière is a beautiful spot. Amandine and the team were extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating. Breakfasts and snacks were superb. The swimming pool is fantastic, especially in a heat wave 😊. Highly recommend this place.

Lovely small and quiet campsite with a beautiful pool and very attractive bar area. Friendly and helpful owners. Lots to do in the area. Easy access to the Voie Verte.

Pool👍 Bar area👍 Facilities👍 Staff👍 Area👍 Great site, added two more days so stayed five in total, would have stayed longer if we had time. Loads to do in the area and great to come back to the pool/bar late afternoon.
