Oleron _The Luminous_ is the second largest French island after Corsica. Oleron is 175 Km² and has an exceptional climate. In Oleron you can find beautiful sandy beaches, labelled Pavillon Bleu (A Blue Flag award for very good environmental standards) and it is a little haven for nautical sports (windsurfing, kite surfing, sand yachting, canoeing, etc). Go for a walk, ride a bike or a horse to the heart of the pine forest and the marshes. Don't hesitate to stop for a nature escape in _Les marais aux oiseaux_ (The bird marshes) in Dolus and _Le Port des Salines_ in Grand Village.
