Another excellent holiday

Review of the campsite

The atmosphere is relaxed, many fellow campers are old friends, emplacements are generous, and the location is perfect. Stephanie and Lionel are excellent hosts, and have made significant investments and improvements in the campsite, more are planned over the winter. They are working very hard with programmes of entertainment.

Some of the trees need maintenance, small dead branch's fall when the wind is strong, hedges are getting tall in some places, just a trim required. Not a problem for us, but the office is closed for lunch 12.30-14.30, you need to avoid these times when arriving.

Lovely, friendly, peaceful site

Review of the campsite

Lovely, friendly welcome from the owners on arrival. You pick your own pitch then inform reception of the number. All pitches are large, many have shade & border the river that runs on 3 sites of this site. It’s a very peaceful, rustic campsite with lots of trees. Pitches are separated by hedges and red currant bushes. Shower block and toilets were spotlessly clean. Little bar that serves a small selection of food in the evening plus a small shop with the basics in reception. There’s an indoor swimming pool next door. It’s a 5 minute walk into the nearby village and a 10 minute walk to Lidl.
