Review of the campsite
It's a lovely small campsite, near a great beach. Front desk staff excellent.
For some reason they are now not opening the bar/cafe by the pool - what a shame. Toilets and showers were not as clean as last year - last yea they were spotless. Could do with a spruce up too - missing loo seats for example.

Great campsite and location. Facilities are good but need some repair work.
Outside swimming pool was broken for most of our stay, and the bubbles/fountain on the inside swimming pool never worked. One of the trampolines was broken. Campsite entry barriers were broken and we had to drive in the exit. Ordered bread via reception and got a stale baguette - didn't go back and just walked to the local bakery instead.

Excellent location, very private, clean, easy access to facilities. Good bathroom and kitchen. BBQ was nice.

The site and area had a great vibe’
I hope to return.
It would be good if there was a Grey Water drop for Motorhomes , but this would not stop me coming again.
Minor issues- no plugs for sinks and lights for services went off too quickly.

This site is great site. One of my favourite ever. Dog friendly beach 5 minutes away. Walk for miles. Headland walk. Great cycling. Walk on ferries in both direction. Brilliant site with heated pool and outside one that was chilly.. lovely people 22 euros. 4 towns in walking or easy cycling. Love the place. Stayed longer than anywhere ever. Left to meet friends

simple, yet beautiful and complete with friendly staff
Review of the campsite
This static caravan style of accommodation was simple and basic yet it was clean, functional and had everything we needed. The site was perfect for our needs; my 6 year old son loved the swimming pools, the trampoline and the bouncy castle. I really loved the beautiful, sandy beach. We all really enjoyed Sainte Marine and Benodet along with the range of activities, cafes, restaurants, beaches, amenities and general, relaxed atmosphere they offered. The staff at Le Helles were friendly and helpful, I really enjoyed practising my French although English was also spoken.
The only improvement I can think of is to perhaps offer the children's holiday club on the weekend as well as week days, it would have been good for my son to go to it but as it happened it was also weekdays that had availability for canoe hire and the boat trip from Benodet we wanted to do so he never got to go to the children's club.
Our mobile-home was basic and compact yet clean and kitted out with all the essentials. I particularly liked the covered veranda with outdoor tables and chairs where we could have our meals, rain or shine. The large clothes airer on the veranda was extremely useful especially for drying out swimming stuff. The site was generally well kept, calm yet friendly.
A second tea towel and a second rubbish bag would have been very useful. Also the kitchen knives could have been a better standard. Otherwise good.

Weekend break in Sainte Marine
Review of the campsite
The campsite was in a lovely location near a beautiful beach. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the facilities were of a really good standard.
The shower and toilet buildings were a little dated however they were kept spotlessly clean.
More groceries to choose from in the shop.
The pitches were very well maintained, very spacious and had plenty of privacy.

Shower occasionally got seriously hot with a scold risk! Not just my shower but all of them (I could hear other users complain).

What a lovely surprise
Review of the campsite
We arrived to a lovely welcome from the lady in the reception. We chose the site initially for the indoor pool but were also really impressed with the snack and bar. We hadn’t realised that just a short walk through a gate was the massive sandy beach and then just a short walk from the main gate is the pretty port of Sainte Marine. A lovely site in a great position.
The only slight downside was guessing how much loo roll you might need from the dispenser outside. Sorted this easily by taking our own roll. At night we found the lights at the loos kept going out leaving you in the dark, think the sensor could do with a little tweak.
