Small campsite in the still quiet north of the Dordogne A green small campsite on the banks of a river with a sandy beach. Small-scale activities such as panning for gold in the river, archery, rock climbing and a trip to a goat farm. From the campsite are walking trails through the beautiful surroundings. The village Jumilhac-le-Grand is within walking distance and offers all amenities, there is a swimmingpool and a beautiful, seeing, castle. On the campsite we rent tents and mobile homes.

C’est un vrai plaisir de savoir que l’emplacement Belle Vue vous a permis de profiter pleinement du cadre tout en gardant un œil sur vos enfants. La proximité de la rivière est effectivement un vrai atout, et nous sommes heureux que vous ayez pu en profiter. Everything about the campsite was perfect. Set in a lovely rural setting by a small river. Short walk to Jumilhac le grand. Excellent facilities.

A lovely campsite

Review of the campsite

We really enjoyed our stay at Camping La Chatonnière, so much so, we extended our stay by 3 nights. Excellent clean facilities. Situated by a small river ( suitable for cooling off ), In a nice rural retreat within a short walk to Jumilhac Le Grand with boulangerie, Chatetcuterie, groceries, restaurant, bar / cafe n pharmacy with shop on site. Perfect for all ages. Not bustling or over crowded. 13 glorious days with several lakes with sandy beaches nearby. Just loved the place n surrounding area. Our 3rd campsite in the Dordogne this summer and the best. Clinton, Chanda, Jodie n Jasmine
