Set on terraces along the river, it offers direct access to the water with a pleasant private sandy beach, ideal for swimming and relaxing. Nature lovers will also enjoy fishing, gold panning, walks starting from the campsite and the tranquillity of the surroundings. We offer spacious pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes, as well as mobile homes and furnished tents. On site: takeaway meals, bread/pastries, playground, relaxation area with libraries. Jumilhac-le-Grand is located halfway between Limoges and Périgueux, where you will find shops: grocery store, butcher, bakery, bar, restaurant, pharmacy, swimming pool... and you can also visit the castle. It is the perfect place for an authentic and peaceful family holiday, close to nature.

La proximité de la rivière est effectivement un vrai atout, et nous sommes heureux que vous ayez pu en profiter. A lovely campsite

Review of the campsite

We really enjoyed our stay at Camping La Chatonnière, so much so, we extended our stay by 3 nights. Excellent clean facilities. Situated by a small river ( suitable for cooling off ), In a nice rural retreat within a short walk to Jumilhac Le Grand with boulangerie, Chatetcuterie, groceries, restaurant, bar / cafe n pharmacy with shop on site. Perfect for all ages. Not bustling or over crowded. 13 glorious days with several lakes with sandy beaches nearby. Just loved the place n surrounding area. Our 3rd campsite in the Dordogne this summer and the best. Clinton, Chanda, Jodie n Jasmine
