An enjoyable stay in a calm and relaxing environment.

Review of the campsite

This was our first stay in one of the cottages while we prepare for our caravan winter storage also at Le Picard. The weather was fairly typical for late October; it rained at night and sunshine during the day. We felt very relaxed enjoying the pretty views from all the windows. As always, we enjoyed the self catering aspect of our stay eating and drinking the local Normandie produce.

Accommodation review - Cottage Cosy - 2 bedrooms

The cottage was very comfortable and we slept very well. It was immaculately clean on arrival and well resourced with everything we would require for a longer stay too. As the evenings were drawing in earlier after the clocks changed we were grateful to find the main english channels on the TV. The cottage was cosy and warm with efficient heating which we could easily control. The shower was strong and efficient. We would book again.

None. We found it good value for money and suited our needs and enjoyment.

Regarding the WiFi, as we mentioned in previous replies, we are aware of the weak connection in certain areas. During the winter, we will be looking for solutions to improve it, although our rural location limits the available speed. For the adapters, we always keep some available for loan at reception. We may have forgotten to mention this on your arrival, but we do include this information in the newsletter sent 7 days before your stay. Perfect stay at Le Picard

Delphine and Laurent are great hosts, were very informative and both speak excellent English - which to our shame, was most welcome. It was our first caravaning holiday in France and this is the best place for a first trip abroad, location perfect, facilities clean and tidy and the couple that run/own the site are fantastic , the food in the restaurant out of this world

We stayed for 3 nights lovely site, very peaceful. Owls hooting, sheep in the field behind us, peacock wandering around great natural site. We stayed in September. Swimming pool available, I did not have the right swim ware only proper trunks are allowed, not swim shorts. Bread daily if you order in advance from reception limited choices but fabulous service, saved us getting up early to find a baker.

We left quite early on our day of departure, it would have been good to have a light in the loo disposal point & by the rubbish area.

But maybe... just maybe… the lack of lighting is our secret trick to keep things quiet and avoid clattering bins and toilet cassettes in the early hours 😄 That said, we’ll definitely think about it. Another good time camping at the Le Picard.

Review of the campsite

Love this small family run pretty campsite. Our pitch looked out to the countryside giving us a peaceful relaxing 10 days camping. A short drive gives us all we need in Le Molay- Littry which has all the main facilities we need including pharmacie, supermarket, bank, boulangeries and boucherie plus a locals market on Thursdays. It’s not far to the coast with some of our favourite places to visit. There are many places still to visit so we will look forward to many future stays.

Peaceful rural location with a nice pool and excellent facilities. Not far from Bayeux and Arromanches which are both well worth day trips. The site’s bathroom area was exceptionally clean. Run by a friendly couple.Our favourite site of this trip.

Grote plekken met water en elektriciteit. Sanitaire blok aan het zwembad is nieuw en zeer netjes . De oudere blok is gedateerd maar ook zeer netjes . Je kan brood bestellen en er is een restaurant op het terrein . Wij komen graag terug .

A lovely holiday

A very nice camping for children of different ages. De toilets are very clean, de showers fantastic. You can eat a simple meal at the snackbar and the supermarket is only 5 minutes by car. You can go fishing on the campsite and play ping pong. Nearby the camping are nice villages en beaches to visit. You can find beautiful seashells!! In Isigny-Sur-Mer (20 min by car) there is a wonderful fishingshop.

Nothing important but if I try really hard, it would be a grass/soccerfield to play football, throw a ball or a frisbee.
