.wonderful position which we paid extra to book
Having stayed on 3 previous occasions unfortunately this time the staff on reception when we arrived were not able to speak as much English as in the past. Having to check an itinerary, where items were missing was a little challenging. Also giving us a form to complete in French not English was a simple thing which would have been better customer service had we not had to ask for it changing.

Review of the campsite
La Bahamas Beach is our favorite site and we have stayed here for about 10 years now. The team are always friendly and helpful, the pitches are a good size and private due to hedges around them. The camp facilities are good, and it's location is perfect for both town and beach. There is also a great cycle path just outside which follows the nearby river.
The small bed of plants near to the laverie was overgrown with weeds - the first thing that you see when you enter the site. The Neptune shower facility is in need of upgrading. Despite being cleaned regularly, there was always a faint background odour, although we were in a heatwave, which may have caused this. Most of the time, the showers were only lukewarm. The Etoile shower block showers were far better.
Establishment response
Hello sir BRUNDRETT, a huge thank you for your loyalty over the past 10 years and for taking the time to share such a detailed review. We are delighted to hear that Bahamas Beach remains your favorite location and that you appreciate our team's friendliness as well as our services. We are truly pleased by your kind words. We also thank you for your constructive feedback regarding the flowerbed near the laundry area, the Neptune sanitary block, and the shower water temperature. Your comments have been passed on to our maintenance and groundskeeping teams. We are sorry that the work carried out in late June did not allow us to assign you a larger pitch. Thanks again for your valuable feedback. We look forward to welcoming you back for your 11th stay at our Chadotel campsite.
The Bahamas Beach Team.

Hedges on three sides, close to water supply. Good shade from trees in the heatwave.
The pitch was only just big enough for our caravan. Unfortunately the larger pitches were unavailable due to some work going on at the end of June. This was unfortunate, but we were recompensed for the inconvenience.

The new pool facilities were a very welcome addition. And the heated indoor pool continues to be kept at a very pleasant temperature. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The takeaway was very good value especially the quantity of chips provided for a very low price.

Chalet seemed brand new. Well equiped.
No grass outside chalet. Just gravel and weeds. Facilities only open at weekends (bar, snack bar). Only saw the shop open once during our stay.
Electricity went off for a morning during our stay and we had no notification of the planned works. No one in reception so had to make a fifteen minute phone call to find out what was going on.
