Stayed 2nights in motorhome, Friendly, clean facilities, lovely pool, shop for basics, fresh bread, path into village. Only negative the WiFi was hopeless, kept dropping out and very slow had to keep logging in, I gave up.

Large, secluded pitch. Nice indoor heated pool. Good for dog walking in surrounding area.

Facilities were okay but dated. Also, I don’t like unisex facilities. Nothing much in the immediate vicinity, no local village.

Another wonderful stay!

We loved our stay and coming back to an amazing campsite!

The bar being open a little more often.

A great pitch with plenty of shade and space for us to relax.

The indoor showers did not all work well.

Very nice campsite in a lovely locatoiin

Lovely area, although you need to drive everywhere. Toilets & Shower blocks all fine, although could do with more Toilets

Pitch size fine, but not that big considering it was a Grand Comfort one.

Connection to waste water wasn't good .. you needed to put pipe into high vessel which caused back-ups.

Great reception staff.

Our motorhome broke down on arrival. Chloe at reception took care of us immediately. Rang a garage who came within 20 mins. It had to be repaired so the girls at reception organised emergency accommodation until we got our MH back. Fantastic treatment by all. We are so grateful. The site, bar and pool are all excellent.

It was very hot on our last night. We should have asked for a fan as there was no air con in our chalet. however this is not the fault of the campsite.

Thank you very much for your touching message. We are sorry for the mishap upon your arrival, but we are glad that we were able to assist you as best we could in this situation. We are delighted that you also enjoyed the site, the bar and the swimming pool. Solid place to stay

Restaurant was good. Pool a good place to cool down. Lots to do. The staff were constantly cleaning and making the areas fit for use. I was tired watching them. Good for a week stay I'd say.

Have information about more local, free activities instead of the leaflets about paid activities. Have local walks on a leaflet. Another set of washing machines, perhaps have the trampolines and football pitches bookable. Some families domineered them for 1.5 hours plus, at a time and meant no-one else could have a go. Clean the foot pool as you go into the pool. That was disgusting. Not many activities for teens. They were the odd one out group.

Excellent pitches. Good size, no rules about how to park the van like they do on the UK. You can be antisocial with your set up as well as social. Good they have a time to be quiet (though quite why some decided to wash up at 10.30 I don't know). Our pitch had some shade.

Choose your pitch carefully. I.e. request a shaded pitch in the heat. Some don't have shade. Some pitches close to the washing up station but some have to be. Otherwise no complaints.

What a beautiful site

Such a lovely well maintained and pretty site, excellent location for trips to Chateau, zoo, Puy du Fou, great facilities and well equipped shop, bar/restaurant and live entertainment. Weekly market stalls held up by reception and two lovely swimming pools(three including the toddlers pool). Third time staying here and will be going back again next year, so many vine yards to visit.

Pitch was huge, hedged on three sides, could easily fit two caravans on it, we have a folding camper and we're lost in the pitch, plenty of toom for a couple rotary washing lines, swing ball and Ford ranger parked on it too.

Nothing yo dislike, it really is so nice, the staff are very friendly and welcoming, and the maintenance staff are always busy looking after the place

Our third and last stay

Lovely area with plenty to do. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely pool area.

This is our third visit to L’Etang. Our impression is that it is not as well maintained as in previous years. We booked a pitch with private sanitary, which in our view is not worth the additional cost. We had no water point for our caravan and had to get the technical staff to run a spur off a neighbouring pitch, despite it being advertised as having one on the website. There seemed to be only one chemical toilet point for the whole site, whereas in previous years there were more. Our impression is of a lovely site which has gone downhill in the 2 years since our last visit.

Fresh water supplies on more pitches. Small toilet block has no fresh water available, hose at toilet emptying point not acceptable for drinking water.

Nice stay but could have been better

Check in was quick and friendly. Toilets were kept clean throughout the day.

If you are going for fishing please note. The lake was very low. Assuming this was due to the hot weather we have been experiencing. However it was full of scum on the top and very little evidence of fish.

Accommodation review - Privilege Pitch Pond with private pontoon + 16A electricity + water

The privilege pitch was very disappointing. On arrival the pitch was dirty and unkempt. There was burnt firewood left on the ground and several piles of hedgerow across the pitch that had been cut and left. It was both dangerous and unsightly. On reporting to the receptionist the hedgerow was quickly removed but the wood was left behind.

It was the school holidays so expected children to be on the site. However there were lots of children running around the site in large numbers making a lot of noise and at one point saw children break a site brick made bbq due to standing in it. Evident some parents do not pay attention to what their children are doing. The site was suitable for families but not if you are a couple looking for a quiet stay
