Lovely stay on a relaxed campsite with excellent facilities
Review of the campsite
Loved the spacious pitches, peace and quiet, lovely coffee/snack bar across the road, restaurant next door and epicerie within 5 minute walk, not to mention 10-15 minute walk into town with lovely church, museum, market etc.
Love the area has so much history and is very friendly and quiet

Very nice accommodation perhaps the shower could be updated kept going cold when showering.
Only the shower not working correctly.

The site is close to the town and all facilities were in good order and kept clean. The pitches were large and level with a good variety of trees for shade if needed. The staff were friendly and courteous and there was no noise after 10pm. I commend this site to all.

Very nice restaurant.
Low season but only one sanitary block open, and the water in the shower was lukewarm and kept going cold.
There are only two taps for fresh water and one was broken.

Admin needs to greatly improve, road closure due to marathon
Review of the campsite
The site is pleasant and quiet with views over the river from my pitch, made it special.
Head of administration, needs to be Fired! They knew the main road to the site was going to be closed, so any well run establishment that had arrivals for that day should have been notified by text and email, at least the day before. Turning a twin axle caravan in that road was a headache.
No diversion route to the campsite was shown anywhere. I had to rely on my map skills, when on my own.
Not even an apology from the older gentleman that was gardening, although let me in. I was really cross because of no communication.

Pitch was good , grass was still great in the majority of places.
Nice walk into town with quite a few places to see and places to eat.
Cold showers in swimming pool area.
WiFi could be free.

This is a lovely, pretty and tranquil site on the Loire. A five minute walk to the town of Gien. Plenty of interesting places to visit locally. The owners, Patricia and Didier are super, very friendly and helpful. Fresh bread every morning, a grocery across the road, and a good restaurant on the site.
