A really nice base to explore the city
Review of the campsite
Second time here at the end of a long road trip. Really quiet site while very close to the city. Cycled into the city on nice routes. Facilities were clean and nice. Internet seemed good although I did have my own Starlink. Reception really friendly and helpful. Good power and water on each pitch.
There seems to be no control on people from the adjacent Camping Car site using the facilities on this site. They pay about one third of the price so they get everything except electricity for a fraction of the cost.
There aren’t enough toilets. Only one block was open which provided only two toilets for a lot of people to share.
It would have been good if the shop and snack bar were still open as not much in the immediate vicinity.

4 Night Stay Nantes Camping
Review of the campsite
The site is well located for Nantes centre. There is a tram line directly outside the site, with regular trams in to Nantes. The site toilet and shower facilities were always clean during our stay and we were impressed how often staff checked them. There are lots of shops in Nantes, as well as plenty of museums to visit. The site had excellent customer WiFi during our stay. Overall an excellent four day trip.
On the site terms and conditions it stated no arrivals before 4pm, which seems late as a UK customer, accustomed to arrival times of around 1pm. You however do have your pitch to 3pm on your last day. We however see other customers being allowed to arrive early
Accommodation review - Comfort package 1 to 2 people with Camper + electricity
We had a pitch with electric, which was of a good size. It required leveling blocks, to get our van level, but that’s not an issue.
The pitch we were on had a gravel base, which in good weather is fine. If you go when it’s likely to be raining take something to keep your van clean. The gravel sticks to your footwear and gets dragged into your van.

Perfect location
Review of the campsite
Really spacious and well laid out site with excellent amenities. Great location for visiting the town, close to tram stops. Toilet and shower facilities were very clean.
Campsite shop could have been a bit more well stocked. In the end we were told we couldn’t book the premium package with shed, bbq etc because our van was too big for the space. This was a puzzle to us as we only have a VW combo - there were other much larger vans on these pitches. There must have been some kind of a mistake.
Accommodation review - Premium package 1 to 2 people Caravan+ vehicle + electricity + shed (water, BBQ, deckchairs, TV sat, refrigerator)
We didn’t have this type of pitch but the one we had was very spacious and sheltered
In some ways it was a a bit too sheltered! We rarely got any sunshine!!!

Adequate
Review of the campsite
The site itself has been well maintained and the shower blocks were very clean. Flavien at reception was very helpful trying to resolve an issue with my phone / sim
However we were disappointed with our pitch (83) as it was in near darkness from morning to night due to very overhanging trees
I would recommend to anyone who wishes to have a sunny position that they specifically request this

Review of the campsite
Location - close to shops & transport
Very good, helpful information from reception staff
Modern, well equipped sanitary blocks
Very muddy - hard standing pitches required
Too many trees - many pitches too dark for solar panels / phone & TV signals.
Badly timed cleaning of ladies block in the mornings. Showers & toilets unavailable between 7 am and 8.15 each day of my stay ….. exactly when required if leaving early.
Pool etc not available
Accommodation review - Comfort package 1 to 2 people with Camper + electricity
Pitches a good size. My grass pitch was generously pitched.
Allocated pitch was unsuitable so staff changed it to a grass pitch
Allocated pitch under overhanging trees, very dark , muddy , backing onto stream so lots of bugs .
Grass pitch was very good - but very muddy. Water point on pitch broken and drain clogged.
