Review of the campsite

Whilst being offered several sites we wanted not to be on top of others. Site selected appeared Ok but sank about 120mm into the grass when maneuvering. Fortunately I had long heavy duty straps to use on the caravan (NEVER needed before!) to the car which was then on the tarmac. French lady and sone came and helped out by when the son when to reception to say what had happened it was jut "Oh use these sites"

Great campsite by a lake with lots of facilities, great for kids. Didn’t use the services but I’d say there weren’t enough electrical sockets for every9e that wanted them & it’s a bit of a free for all as to who gets them. Plenty of spots with shade available

The site has excellent facilities. Showers are some of the best I have used. Water was hot and very powerful. Proper domestic style controls so no pressing a button every 5 seconds. They are also multi function so you have a choice between rain or handset. The site is used as a transit site so lots of people staying just the 1 or 2 nights which it copes with very well. Site owner speaks great English.

Soap dispenser was always empty. No toilet paper in the actual cubicles.

Good base for Le Tour de France Arrivee 2025.

Do not allow dog poo. Repair locks on sanitary doors. Repair non working showers. Clearly number pitches. Look after site. Stop children riding electric scooters at high speed around site. Provide information at check-in.

We love the location and the whole "green valley" of the Indre

The toilets and showers are badly in need of updating and modernising. Many doors are broken and the locks dont work, many of the showers dont work and all need replacing but we love the area

Pleasant staff. Bathroom facilities clean.

1. Tell visitors on arrival about the system for the showers and give them a bracelet which works, rather than letting them discover it doesn’t once they’ve undressed. This happened twice, then I gave up trying to shower. 2. Clean us mess at WC emptying point. This must be a public health issue. We reported it on arrival but nothing was done by the time we left the next morning. 3. Site seemed a bit sad and unkempt in places but bathroom facilities were all clean.

an excellent night stop at this camp, with beautiful walks around the lake. Great showers. However it was very tricky to actually get into the site on this occasion due to the road blocks because of the evening music concert.

Lovely location for lake and walking to town. Staff friendly. Excellent bread and croissants for breakfast. Good value.

Have some basic items for sale e.g milk, given the toilet block a good deep clean!

Friendly welcome, always friendly employees during our stay. Perfect bread service, sanitary facilities ok, showers nice and warm (max 7 minutes/day). Large camper pitches that you can choose yourself. 10A current, several water taps. Right next to the campsite is a large park with a swimming and fishing pond, many walking and cycling opportunities. There is also a good restaurant on this site. The city center is easily accessible on foot or by bike via park.

Very clean toilets, but no seats. Toilet paper is available at the entrance of toilets, not in each cubicle. If you use the showers furthest from reception there is no timer and great pressure, one of the best showers I have had on any campsite. If you use showers by reception you need a bracelet (given to you on arrival) to activate the shower and it is timed at 7 minutes and only one use a day. I understand this is to stop non residents using the facilities as there is a camping aire just outside. We stayed 3 nights and found it to be a pleasant quiet site with very friendly staff.

We were in a large motorhome and found some of the pitches looked very wet. You could see where vehicles had struggled to get off the pitch. We arrived quite early and reception tell you to choose your own pitch so we were lucky to select a dry one. Some areas were marked off as not available due to the wet ground. If that could be improved it would benefit the site.

Receptionist was lovely. Nice to be by the lake.

Toilet/shower room extremely dirty. No toilet paper. Dogs running loose. Seven minute timer per day for showering.

Très bon séjour dans ce camping au bord du Parc de Belle-Île. Accueil très chaleureux et équipe agréable. Sanitaires propres et bien entretenus. Idéalement situé pour profiter des alentours. Parc de jeux pour enfants très apprécié.

Petit point à améliorer : il aurait été préférable de rapprocher l’espace jeux pour les tout-petits du parc de jeux principal (toboggan) pour plus de praticité.
