Les Charmettes offers a perfect holiday destination that ticks all the boxes for a great break away.Situated on the west coast of France, near famous places such as Bordeaux, La Rochelle and Cognac, it's a great base for getting out and exploring, and you'll find that there are plenty of activities to keep even the younger ones entertained. A small village at the heart of Saint Palais sur Mer, near Royan, the Deux Plages Campsite has the pleasure of showing you its 3 hectare (170 placements) grounds ,surrounded by acacias and oak trees, and awarded 3 stars ( by 1993 norms). In true camping tradition and in a family orientated atmosphere we try to offer you the maximumservices for a simple, agreable holiday. The grocery shop, bar and snack bar have all the specialities and delicacies that you need , just a step away from your campsite placement. The nearest sandy beaches are 600m from the 2 Plages Campsite, 10 minutes walk from the children’s club or to the sailing school, as well as life guards for your safety and tranquility. Nauzan, le Bureau, Le Platin, La Grande Côte or La Grande Conche de Royan will all become family favourites . With a market 700 metres from the campsite and open every morning in season, you will discover fresh local products from the sea and land in the pleasant town centre.

At attractive prices, camping La Mouette Rieuse, 2 stars, offers spacious pitches for your tent, caravan or motorhome in a friendly, green and well shaded. Harmoniously arranged, the mobile homes for 4 to 6 people are comfortable (free television) and the canvas bungalows for 4 people are well equipped. In a family and relaxed atmosphere, you can enjoy in summer, direct and free access to the municipal supervised swimming pool (weekends in June, afternoons in July and August) or to the wooded petanque ground. The Saintes Grandes Rives campsite offers 153 spacious pitches, spread over 7 hectares planted with plane, ash, poplar and maple trees, some of which are over a hundred years old. This 4-star campsite is located on the Loix peninsula in the Île de Ré’s smallest village. An island on an island, the village is linked to the rest of the Île de Ré by a single narrow lane which winds through the salt marshes.
