Review of the campsite

Stayed in camping car with teenage grand children. Children enjoyed the pool complex and the sports field. Food in Restaurant was good and a good choice of pastries in the morning. Site close to bird sanctuary and sea and just over an hour’s drive from Calais.

Some of the sanitary block was closed during our stay which meant queuing for showers which was unsatisfactory. The floor of the lazy river needs some attention as the membrane has stretched and rucked up in many areas. There is no where in the pool to have a swim without being bombed by children. Water in washing up area was cold.

The main reason was to visit Paris.

Toilets and showers are in pretty old standard and the toliets have no seats.

Had a great pitch with plenty of room which was great but the reception was poor firstly which wasn’t a great start to the holiday. The downside was the toilets were all french style without loo seats which we didn’t like at all!

Put a few loo seats on the toilets please it would have made a better experience.

All the staff were very helpful and friendly, even though our French speaking is very poor, they were very patient and understanding. Excellent facilities through out.

I would perhaps suggest that bicycles could be hired through the site or via a third party. Also perhaps the availability of Fruit and vegetables in the shop.

Liked the bathroom, table & chairs. The access ramp was very good. Aquatic centre, including swimming pool excellent.

Bed to low for disabled person. No instructions for using heaters. Glasses & crockery in wrong place over the cooker. Oven/grill in wrong place. Needed a hand rail up the access ramp and bushes need cutting back. Plots only small and units close together. Signage at entrance from road not easy to see.

We had a wonderful stay at Le Champ Neuf. The owners and workers so helpful and friendly. A wonderful large pitch cleverly screened with bushes right next to a tap with drinking water. The pool and water slides was a definite hit with our granddaughters and the all sports pitch good for meeting and making friends. Lovely!

The showers could be improved - a stronger shower please!

We are frequent visitors to this amazing camp site. Christophe and Isabelle are amazing hosts and can't do enough for you. The facilities are getting better and better with each visit. Can't wait to go again!

Convenient location for Parc du Marquanterre.

Not enough toilets and showers for such a busy site.

The campsite was great, regularly cleaned, well maintained and great staff all round. The restaurant and bar were very good and the kids loved the pool.

My only negative issue was that there was no soap on site and this was not pleasant to know that people where not able to effectively wash there hands after using the toilets

Brilliant location, fantastic swimming pool and water chutes. Restaurant very good with okay prices. Reception staff did not speak English and we didn’t speak French but we mad ourselves understood. William in the Restaurant was absolutely superb and helped us with our French. School boy French came back. Somme area was fantastic and lack of traffic noticeable compared with UK. We would stop hee again. Great for people with children.

Our chalet was clean but needed some minor maintenance such as glueing trim back onto cupboards and similar. This did not detract from the holiday. Suggest you rent a two bedroom chalet for extra room even if only two people staying.
