The Campsite of Tournus is an ideally situated, comfortable 3 star campsite in the heart of Southern Burgundy. At only 1,5 km from the A6 Motorway (Exit 27 Tournus), the campsite has a lovely view over the river Saône (50 yards from the campsite). Modern and clean toilet facilities (renovated in 2012), fresh bread and breakfast service, take away, free wifi. The city centre of Tournus, known for the Saint Philibert Abbey and many excellent restaurants, is less than 1 kilometer from the campsite.

One night travelling back from the South coast.. friendly staff (Salah) and cafe too. Good emplacement. Used before and will visit again.

Review of the campsite

We used the campsite for one night on the way back to the ferry port. I think we would probably stay there again, maybe for a few days to use the nearby Saone cycle way and visit the town.

The sanitary blocks were too small for the size of the campsite. They need to be bigger and further apart to accommodate everyone comfortably. It would be a great campsite if these were improved.

Improving the sanitary facilities and reorganising the waste and recycling area are part of our long-term plans.
