Located in the Dordogne valley and at the heart of the Lot tourist sites: Rocamadour, Padirac chasm, Lacave Caves, Collonges la Rouge, Martel, Souillac, Sarlat ... The campsite La Plage offers its family atmosphere in a shaded park of 2 hectares with direct access to the Dordogne River. Canoe rental base at the foot of the campsite. Entertainment in season (July / August): camper meal, musical evening, water aerobics, fishing initiation, petanque contest, treasure hunt. Stay camping on our spacious pitches, shaded or semi-shaded, at the edge of the water, overlooking the cliffs; or rental of lodge, bungalow or caravan. Motorhome service area. Documentation and advice for sightseeing and nature tours. Friendly atmosphere and warm welcome. Open from May 1st to September 30th

Best Campsite in France

Review of the campsite

I have camped in France over many years and this is the best. The friendly, staff work extremely hard to provide a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere for people of all ages. The choice of activities for children is excellent including fishing and falconry. The food and drink is delicious including local produce and the gift selection in the reception is well stocked. The evening entertainment is varied with local musicians and exhibitors. The campsite is on the river where canoes can be hired. Local buses stop nearby. We came by public transport. This was our 2nd visit and we will be back.

Beautiful location, helpful and very hard working hosts

Review of the campsite

The night before our arrival there was a major storm bringing down trees and power lines, despite which the team at the campsite kept things going. Out of season so the campsite quiet . Lovely beach on the Dordogne so great for just floating around.

Great little Campsite

Review of the campsite

Lovely campsite on banks of Dordogne with direct river access. Great swimming pool and reception with small cafe

Toilet and shower facilities open to outside and could be cold to use in the mornings. Also lots of dead flies etc around washbasins and shower cubicles which made the area not very nice to use.

However, there's not much we can do about the mayflies in the sinks in the morning (it's just nature), even if we clean them in the morning.
