Pitches comfort, standard (for tents without electricity) and stabilized pitches for motorhomes. Many pitches are bordering the River. All our mobile homes have got a terrace and are recent. WIFI covers all the camping (5 ha), heated toilet block and a snack bar. Heated.pool

Water and electric at pitch very handy. Nice view of the river.
Pitch was a little too shaded by trees, and the ground got very muddy.

Review of the campsite
Stayed here for two weeks in one of the older chalets by the river. Great shady site when the sun was hot, pools were great for all the family. Playground is new and substantial, ping pong tables and bouncy castle were well used. The campsite is about 15min walk into Brantome. We didn’t use the river beach as there was bacteria in the water so not advised at the time of our stay. We would definitely recommend this campsite, the toilet/shower facilities were the best we’ve seen so far on a site in France, including hair dryers. Good campsite layout, felt safe with kids exploring independently.
A bit more communication about kids & evening activities would have been good, it took us a few days to find the posters. Communal composting for veg scraps would be a welcome addition, we have used these on other sites in France.

Great layout, room to easily get dressed and move around in the bedrooms. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils. The accommodation was a little tired and maybe needed a bit of updating - vinyl wallpaper peeling off in places, but it didn’t effect our stay.
A door mat on the interior would have been great as our front door or outside mat wasn’t under the canopy when it rained it was difficult not to make a wet floor inside.

The pitches were really nice and it felt secluded, whilst being a busy campsite. The location to Brantôme and the river were excellent. We also liked the games that were provided on one of the nights. It was useful to have a freezer and the bar was nice.
The showers and toilets were a bit disorganised and the showers lacked pressure.

This is the 2nd time we stayed and it was as good as last time. We did travel earlier this year so it was quieter but being such close walking distance to the centre of town, it did not make a difference to us. David and team were very helpful talking to the local garage when our car broke down and everyone is very helpful and friendly. Beautiful green surroundings, lovely pools.
Last time we came, the covered pool was for adults only. This time there were lots of children using the pool. We think it would be good to reinstate this as an adult as that is an attractive feature to have the choice. Only other thing that would be great is to have more, and larger parasols, in the pool area. Especially as there was a heatwave this time!

We choose the site because of the large, shady pitches; clean facilities; the pool area, the friendly, helpful staff and the location (next to the river & and easy walk into town). This year was our 3rd stay & we hope to come back again in 2026!
