Camping Vert Auxois
Vert Auxois Campsite***, located on the Burgundy Canal, in the beautiful natural setting of Pouilly-en-Auxois, has a heated swimming pool, free Wifi, a playground for children, a petanque field, a ping-pong table and a badminton set. There are excellent festive, sports, nautical and cultural activities for individuals, couples and families. Hungry? Our restaurant Le P’tit Troquet is a welcoming place with a beautiful terrace. You can have a drink, breakfast, a meal or arrange for half-board. We offer various types of accommodations, mobile homes and lodges, fully equipped to receive up to 6 people, Canada Trecks, tents on stilts with terraces, electricity and real beds including sheets. Our camping pitches, with or without electricity (16 amperes) have an average area of 100 m2 and are very well suited for caravans, camping cars and large family tents, both in terms of access and privacy. The washrooms are new, the water is hot, the building is very well insulated and heated at the beginning of the season. The Vert Auxois Campsite was attributed the “Bicycle Welcome” label and it receives many bicycle tourists who come to travel along the Burgundy Canal. In the village, you can also rent traditional or electric bicycles and get them repaired if necessary. Hikers can discover the numerous marked trails of various levels or just wander along the canal. There are excellent areas for fishing at Lake Cercey and along the canal, in peaceful settings. There is a sailing club nearby for adults and children with sailing dinghies, kayaks, paddle boats, and pedal boats. Lessons are available and regattas are held near a beach with a lifeguard. For the most fearless, there is a nearby go-kart track and zip-line park, or you can tackle the cliffs of Haute Roche, Saffres and Bouilland, wonderful sites for rock climbing in the region There are also plenty of cultural activities. Travel along the route of the Dukes of Burgundy, visit the famous Middle Age castles, travel back in time at the Alésia Museum Park, Fontenay Abbey, or the Forges de Buffon. You can visit the Auxois Zoo, and walk around Châteauneuf, Semur en Auxois, Mont Saint-Jean, Flavigny, remarkably well-preserved villages with typical architecture. Dijon and its surroundings are famous for gourmet eating and fine wines. Near the vintage wine trail between Dijon and Beaune, you can discover the Côtes de Nuit and Côtes de Beaune, and stroll through world famous towns such as Nuits-Saint-Georges, Gevrey-Chambertin, Pommard, Meursault, etc. A program of free activities is distributed regularly in the Auxois, Morvan and Saulieu areas.
