Review of the campsite

We liked hearing the sounds of the birds, seeing the lovely open sky and found the camping ground nicely maintained. We also had a nice walk around the pond, which was a plus.

We did not enjoy the food we ordered at the restaurant, the pitch we were given was too close to a mobile home and it was a bit noisy in the night, the barrier only operated between 7-11 and we needed to leave the campsite at 6am for our ferry, the pool smelt a bit mouldy.

Everybody was very friendly and helpful; very nice location at a small pond for fishing and with some animals

The sanitary facilities were not working well and not well kept, especially the first block had hardly hot water, showers and some lights not working

Pro - First class reception, pool, bar facilities. Generous pitches, lovely location.

Cons- for elderly or disabled a long way and for some reason the only disabled toilet had large wooden door bolted shut each day! Not easy to open if you are disabled! No toilet seats! Some toilets and shower doors locked limiting choice?! Drop tag for showers, no other site has this. Refuse collection again a long way from site and difficult for those with mobility issues. Need another collection point at top of site. Motorhome service area small and tight for manoeuvres.

This was a fishing trip with my grandsons we enjoyed it we fished the small lake plenty of small fish it was good sport we didn't have any look on the big lake though.

We arrived on Sunday I thought there was a shop on site it turned out to be a few things at reception I think a fully stocked shop would be a great advantage.

Lovely clean and well maintained Staff very friendly.

A kettle would be good as we dont drink coffee so had to boil water in a pan. Something to make toast with would be good too. No sun brollys at pool to get into the shade

We liked the location, the facilities and staff. Everything was very new and looked after.

£75 cleaning fees!!! REALLY??? we left the place as tidy and clean as you possibly can. No mess, nothing ! And even so, we were charged £75 on top of booking fees, which we found outrageous and disappointing.

Loved the large swimming pool and the rural location of the site. It was very peaceful

The small toilet block near the camping pitches is outdoors and there’s no segregation for women/men. There are no toilet seats! Hot water in the sinks was not very hot and sinks are for handwashing AND pit washing.

Stayed at this site some years ago and this time used it for a short stopover before returning home. The site is quiet and all facilities are kept clean and tidy, pitches are spacious and private but some especially in the lower area are not suitable for twin axle caravans due to their access. There is a good choice of food from the restaurant but found drinks expensive compared to other sites, the pool is OK and partially covered. The roads leading to the site from both directions are quite narrow slightly wider than single track.

Arriving at 16:00, we found that the reception is not always manned, therefore spent 15 minutes trying to find someone to check us in, not great after a 5 hour journey (couldn't use Cool'nCamp app). The partially covered swimming pool tends to be quite noisy, deafening at times and not really the place to relax. The bird enclosure/coupe as you enter the site is outdated and unsightly, requires a total upgrade or removing completely. The outdoor seating area by the bar and restaurant is looking a little tired and in need of refurb.

Les emplacements de belles tailles et bien délimités par des petites haies. Superbe étang et ses canards, les animaux de la ferme. Belle piscine couverte et de nombreux jeux pour les enfants. De nombreux mobil-homes à louer et d'autres en copropriété. Bien situé non loin de Caumont sur Aure, de Bayeux mais aussi des plages du débarquement.
