When you reach the top of our little hill, you will discover a fascinating view on the Ardèche “garrigue” : that specific type of vegetation is composed of oak trees, junipers, thyme and rosemary and inhabited with cicadas during the day and grasshoppers when the evening falls ; it simply is an enchantment for the eyes, ears and nostrils. A “zen” philosophy five minutes away from the attractive and touristic center of the Ardèche river canyon and its famous Pont d’Arc.
Situated 4 kilometers away from Vallon Pont d’Arc and the entrance of the famous canyon the Gorges de l'Ardèche, in the direction of Lagorce. The domain lies 900 meters away from the quaint village of Lagorce, its botanic walk and silk culture museum, recently renovated.
Ardèche offers multiple points of interest, from every aspect : gastronomy (delicious local wines, charcuterie, “caillettes”, goat cheese, chestnut spread...), cultural (the history and museum of the protestant Camisards revolt under Louis XIV, prehistorical past with the oldest ornated cave ever found in the world, or the industrial past and the silk culture), and sports at last (hiking, canoë-kayak, climbing, mountain-biking, quad-biking...) all that in exceptionally preserved natural landscapes (the famous Pont d'Arc and the canyon “Gorges de l'Ardèche”). The famous Caverne du Pont d'Arc, replica of the most ancient ornated cave ever found in the world, is less than a kilometer away as the crow flies!

The site has only 56 chalets spread evenly across the campsite. There is plenty of space for everyone and it never felt too busy or loud. The general environment is very well cared for with amazing views in each direction. The facilities are well managed and maintained.
More grocery options in the store. Snacks/lighter options from the restaurant.

We have returned for I think, the 15th or 16th time as part of our extended holiday across France and Spain. As a family, we love coming to Domaine de Sevenier which is an extremely well run resort, with lovely attentive staff, good facilities and just the right amount of activities. The food in the restaurant this year was of high quality and the staff were very professional and friendly which made our experience even better. Thank you again for a lovely stay and look forward to returning soon.
The only thing that could be slightly better, would be to have slightly less hard mattresses and replace the square hard pillows which are a little uncomfortable.

More grocery options in the store. Snacks/lighter options from the restaurant.
My wife and children loved the chalet inside and out. Plenty of space and good shower.
Given the choice I would prefer to have been at the top of the campsite for more light and views. However, my wife preferred the shade of our chalet (56).

Everything! How small it was, the bread service, the house and amenities, the airco, the pool temperature, the peace and quiet. It was never too busy anywhere and our daughter could run around and play with other kids. Everything was clean and beautiful.
It had everything you need and more! Lovely big porch, the airco was a lifesaver in the heatwave, the kitchen was more than fully equipped, the plancha was perfect to quickly grill up some dinner.

You could add 'nationalities' to your sign up forms for activities so the kids who dont speak french know if there are other kids they can communicate with

Back again for the 8th time

We love Ardeche and staying at Domaine de Sevenier that we have now visited 8 times from having small kids to teenagers now. We love the river bathing and canoeing in Ardeche along with beautiful small villages, the many caves and historic places. The domaine is welcoming, tidy and beautifully located with views of the mountains. The cottages are neat and well maintained and equipped. And the pool is the best ever.
In the training room a better yoga mat and hand weights. Not a big thing but would be nice.
Longer opening hours for the pool for example morning swimming- not for children playing but for swims.

We love the tranquility here, surrounded by nature. The chalets are very comfortable and the staff are very friendly. The atmosphere is very special. They deliver a 5 star holiday and still retain the beauty of the surroundings, in a very eco friendly setting.
The beds are very comfortable, the chalet has everything we need. We were not overlooked by other people in other chalets. It’s very private.
I would have liked two pillows.

Sophie herself, such personalised care and attention. The setting is idyllic and you instantly relax. The chalets are well equipped and well spaced out from others. The quiet and calm was heaven. The pool is wonderful and all the facilities. I treated myself to a massage and that too was lovely. We would come back for sure. Thank you so much for an incredible family holiday.
