Camping River offers relaxation well being and a large variety of sporting activities, all accessible from the campsite. Choosing to spend your holiday in this beautiful area of the Alpes-de-Haute- Provence is also embarking on a series of endless adventures accessible to all. The Ubaye Valley belongs to a mountain range known as the ‘dry’Alps or Alpes de lumière with 300 days of sunshine and only 700mm of annual precipitation.

Lovely camping site in a fantastic region

Review of the campsite

I stayed there for a few days of motorcycle touring in the Alps and enjoyed it very much. It is quiet, there is a bar and restaurant and the owners are very friendly and helpful. Also a big thank you for the friendly Belgian cleaning lady keep the "sanitaire" spotlessly clean.

Open the bar a little earlier than 18.30h

Establishment response

Thank you for your review. I think there was a misunderstanding as the bar is open in the morning and then in the afternoon from 14h00. In the low season the bar is open from 17h00.

Great place to stay

Review of the campsite

It's a friendly small sized camping with a lot of thing to do around the campsite. Hiking, rafting, canyoning, swimming and lots of other activities to do. Claire and David are wording hard and are always there to help you out when you have questions. The facilities are very clean and the restaurant have good pizza's!

Friendly family run campsite. Clean facilities. A perfect escape from it all with a stunning background drop of the mountains and the sound of the river. A perfect stay to recharge.

Maybe some back ground music in the washing facilities 😀
