When you reach the top of our little hill, you will discover a fascinating view on the Ardèche “garrigue” : that specific type of vegetation is composed of oak trees, junipers, thyme and rosemary and inhabited with cicadas during the day and grasshoppers when the evening falls ; it simply is an enchantment for the eyes, ears and nostrils. The Domaine de Sévenier is an old winery transformed into a comfortable village of brand new wooden houses, all respectful of the environment. Here you will find the peace and charm of vintage constructions, the good local wine cellar, the restaurant where we cook home-made local food, the swimming-pool and its stonewalls planted with flowers… Surrounded by a peaceful countryside in a beautiful landscape, the Domaine de Sévenier proposes an authentic and very family approach to holidays. A “zen” philosophy five minutes away from the attractive and touristic center of the Ardèche river canyon and its famous Pont d’Arc. Situated 4 kilometers away from Vallon Pont d’Arc and the entrance of the famous canyon the Gorges de l'Ardèche, in the direction of Lagorce. The domain lies 900 meters away from the quaint village of Lagorce, its botanic walk and silk culture museum, recently renovated. Ardèche offers multiple points of interest, from every aspect : gastronomy (delicious local wines, charcuterie, “caillettes”, goat cheese, chestnut spread...), cultural (the history and museum of the protestant Camisards revolt under Louis XIV, prehistorical past with the oldest ornated cave ever found in the world, or the industrial past and the silk culture), and sports at last (hiking, canoë-kayak, climbing, mountain-biking, quad-biking...) all that in exceptionally preserved natural landscapes (the famous Pont d'Arc and the canyon “Gorges de l'Ardèche”). The famous Caverne du Pont d'Arc, replica of the most ancient ornated cave ever found in the world, is less than a kilometer away as the crow flies!

Ideally located between Vallon Pont d'Arc and Ruoms, the campsite is within easy reach of the many sports and cultural activities offered by the region. In a preserved environment, sheltered from the roads, we welcome you in a park of 12 hectares, FACING THE RIVER. You will be able to combine a calm stay on generous and withdrawn plots, and rhythmic according to your will, by animations in day and evening (July - August). On the low season, attractive promotions will invite you to extend the moment.

Located in a preserved nature, the camp-site La Chapoulière is bathed by l'Ardeche and very close to its famous Gorges and Pont d' Arc. Among the olive-trees and the vineyards, far from the main road, the camp-site nest at 25 minutes on foot from the village of Ruoms. The camping places are delimited and shaded. Within a peaceful surrounding, each one will find an activity at its taste and the so much deserved peace and quiet.

Created in 1958, the campsite basks in the shade of numerous species of trees and shrubs. Besides these magnificent surroundings, you also have the advantage of a private beach which is easily accessible to children.

The diversity of the landscapes and the beauty of the typical villages which are to be found here make for a total change of scene. There are numerous brochures and flyers available for your information at reception. There is direct access to the river which is much appreciated of course by all the campers who wish to swim. During the high season, there is a trip set up every day in a mini bus leaving from the camping for descent of the gorges de l'Ardèche in a canoe. All shops are located three kilometres from the picturesque village of RUOMS.

Mille Etoiles provides accommodation in eleven Mongolian-style natural-canvas yurt dwellings with oak and ash frameworks. These yurts draw on the traditional Kirghiz portable dwellings used in Central Asian steppes. Eight of our yurts have double-bed accommodation for two adults, plus two children in single beds. If you have three children please contact us and we’ll fit in a third bed. Three other yurts are more remotely located in the woods, making ideal romantic getaways. Blankets and bedspreads are provided.. Bath towels can be provided for a fee. The showers and toilet are just a step away from the yurts. The camping ground has two washroom blocks, one with five individual units of wash-basin, hot water, shower and toilet. Alongside your yurt there’s a kitchen area where you can prepare meals. The yurts are lit by candle-lanterns, but electricity is also available (paying option).

Campsite La Grand'Terre, situated on the edge of the river Ardèche, at 3 km of the village of Ruoms, offers your pitches for tent or caravan, but also spatious and confortble mobil homes of different capacities. The _Camping le Clapas_ is a small camping (85 pitches) in a exceptional location for families and nature lovers. On the right bank of the river, in the village of Salavas, in front of Vallon Pont d'Arc, Le Clapas is installed along the water at the entrance of the gorges of Ardeche. The road (_le chemin de la Vernède_) that leads you to the campsite has its end ... at the campsite : no traffic for more quietness and security. The camp, created in 1981, has a magnificent vegetation and many trees to ensure a natural shade.
