Great location, friendly staff

Review of the campsite

The site is situated on the river with lovely views especially riverside pitches. Large, level pitches with easy access to the town. Staff are very helpful and friendly.

Toilet block is due an upgrade

The main sanitary block is scheduled for a full renovation for the 2026 season. As for the birds, that’s one of the little “charms” of being in a natural riverside setting surrounded by trees and wildlife. We understand it can be inconvenient at times and we do our best to maintain the site as clean as possible. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you again on the Loire.

Love this site!

Review of the campsite

We love it here and have been many times, it never fails to please. Immaculate site, full of mature trees, good sized pitches (ours right next to the Loire), with great facilities - spotless shower block/loos with nearby composting and waste facilities, laundry, wifi, chickens and herbs!, great nearby local shops, very interesting place and handy for big towns like Saumur and Chinon.

I honestly can't think of any.

Nice few days by the Loire

The bar and restaurant area was very pleasant. Staff were very helpful.

Our emplacement was poor and dark, heavily tree covered, with a little view of the river, despite having paid extra for a riverside pitch.

Thank you for your feedback and for your kind words about our bar, restaurant, and staff. We’re sorry the view from your pitch did not meet your expectations. As mentioned during your stay, we offered the possibility to change pitches, but riverside options were fully booked and, given the size of your caravan, choices were limited. You chose to remain on your pitch.

The pitch was a good size.

The ‘edge of the Loire’ designation for our pitch whilst factually true, we could see little of the river due to the trees. Very disappointing.

A favourite site

A beautiful location with friendly helpful staff and with good amenities. Well situated for access to many interesting local places to explore and visit.

Ladies toilets would benefit from an update.

We love its location to the river. We enjoy the private facilities, the pool, friendliness of staff. Surrounding shops and villages

The sump in the shower could go do with a regular clean.

Definitely be back

The campsite was very peaceful and tidy. The staff were very friendly and we ate in the Restaurant and the food was good. The Abbey and the village square is only a few minutes walk away with a market on Sunday. Next time we visit we will also be making a trip to Saumur, which is around 13 miles away.

A number of the showers were out of use, so it could get little busy

Un grand merci pour votre retour ! Nous sommes heureux que vous ayez apprécié le calme du camping, la qualité de l’accueil ainsi que le confort du mobilodge. Concernant vos remarques : le choix de ne pas proposer de grille-pain est lié à notre volonté de limiter la consommation électrique, dans une démarche plus écologique. Quant aux chiliennes, elles ont été choisies principalement pour un souci de place, mais nous comprenons votre remarque. Au plaisir de vous accueillir à nouveau en bord de Loire.

L'espace du mobilodge, la grande douche, la bonne idée de la terrasse en bois couverte. Le recyclage des déchets bien pensé.

Changer les chiliennes, pour des chaises de jardin normales. Et un grill pain dans le matériel de cuisine. 😉

Detente à montsoreau

Nous avons passé une excellente semaine, Bord de Loire en vélo, fouées, châteaux ... Au camping c'était vin,barbecue,sieste et piscine. Nous recommandons la dégustation vin en bateau proposé par le camping pour éveillé vos sens de la vue et du goût.

Merci beaucoup pour votre retour chaleureux. Nous sommes ravis que vous ayez passé une belle semaine entre découvertes de la région et moments de détente au camping. C’est un plaisir de savoir que vous avez apprécié l’hébergement et que la dégustation de vin en bateau. Nous serons heureux de vous accueillir à nouveau en bord de Loire.

We loved the site and facilities. The views of the Loire fantastic and the staff were very friendly.Shower walls could do with more attention i.e cleaning.

Review

Position of the site is wonderful - on the river, within a few steps of the village centre, with good cycling available from site, and within easy reach of many interesting attractions. Staff courteous and friendly.

The condition of the pitch surface was terrible, and although 'grand comfort' there was no water tap and drainage for the caravan (we asked to move pitches). The chemical emptying point had an awkward arrangement with some hose from a tap outside it, and not really long enough for purpose (a tap and hose within the emptying enclosure would help! ) The communal facilities were adequate, but desperately need updating.

Thank you for your detailed feedback and for your kind words about our location and staff. We just wanted to clarify that you had booked a pitch with private sanitary facilities, which includes a shower, toilets, and two sinks inside. For this reason, there is no direct water connection on the pitch itself, as everything is already provided in the private unit. We also take note of your comments regarding the chemical emptying point, and we’re pleased to let you know that the communal sanitary blocks will be fully renovated for the 2026 season.

Bel emplacement, spacieux, calme, verdoyant, vue sur la Loire. A proximité des caves troglodytes et du château.

Des ralentisseurs devant le camping pour limiter la vitesse des véhicules dans la rue.

Merci beaucoup pour votre retour et vos compliments sur l’emplacement, le cadre verdoyant ainsi que l’accès direct au chemin vers les quais et le château. Nous sommes ravis que vous ayez apprécié votre séjour avec vue sur la Loire. Concernant les ralentisseurs, la voirie dépend de la commune et n’est pas de notre ressort. Au plaisir de vous accueillir à nouveau.

La vue sur la Loire, les portillons pour accès direct au chemin qui longe le camping et nous emmène sur les quai et au château sans passer par la route. Les annimaux acceptés.
