A Family-Friendly Château Escape: Premium Camping with Charm
Review of the campsite
If the National Trust ran camping in France, this château site would be it. We stayed 10 nights in our campervan and loved it. Run by a welcoming British couple, facilities were spotless. The pool sits before a beautiful Orangerie that becomes a bar. Onsite are a shop with fresh bread, café, burger bar, and plenty for kids—sports, play areas, and barn. The village of Villedômer is a 10-min walk with shops and a lively Monday market. Weekly wine and cheese tastings plus nearby châteaux and vineyards make this a fantastic stay.

We had a Premium pitch, which included EHU, a fridge, a picnic bench with parasol, deck chairs, and a BBQ. The pitches were generous, with some offering plenty of shade from trees while others had none.

Perfect Campsite - will keep returning!
Review of the campsite
This year was our second year in a row - we came back because we loved it so much last year. When speaking to other families on the campsite - most seem to be people returning.
Is a great spot for a family and is great for a long spell (11 days for us this year) or a great stop for 4-5 nights on the way back from further parts of France (like many of the guests we met).
Like last year, we loved the community/family feel that the owners have created, and activities such as the Monday market.
Also well located for exploring Loire - various chateaus, Amboise, Tours and even Saumur

Lovely big pitch
We could not avoid parking under a quince tree which dropped (rotting) fruit constantly. The ground was littered with the fruit. Thank goodness we had a ground sheet to use to protect the 'van and ourselves from treading in the rotten fruit. Also the fruit attracted wasps!!

The beautiful tree lined drive up to the campsite and château takes your breath away. We had an amazing stay pitches are huge and the site is immaculate including the enormous heated pool which we loved. Staff are wonderful and great for familes as well. Beautiful burgers as well. We will be back.

Lovely environment, nice pool, lots of places for the kids to play.
Some places lack enough shade for a comfortable stay. And we had an apple tree on our plot, with many rotten apples that attracted wasps.

A capacious pitch with good access to elec/water. We didn't feel penned in or too close to our neighbours at all. It was noticeably different to other sites. Good shade cover with trees.
