Pielachtal Camping is located in the middle of a picturesque pond landscape in Lower Austria. The family-run campsite offers 28 spacious pitches, some of which are arranged in two rows in a semicircle around the pond shore. These are 70-100 m² in size and have electricity connections (CEE plugs). The small but beautiful sandy beach is not only a delight for children. Whether stand-up paddleboarding or floating on a raft, the pond is fun for young and old alike. The new sanitary facilities are modern in design and promise privacy almost like at home. Pastries for breakfast can be conveniently ordered the evening before. Shopping facilities and restaurants are easily accessible in just under 2 km via the direct cycle path connection. Regional delivery services provide culinary delights. For camping holidays with dogs, there is a own parking area with eight plots – dogs are also allowed in the water. Hofstetten is an ideal starting point for cycling tours, hikes, climbing adventures, or excursions in the Mostviertel region and beyond. The federal capital Vienna, the Wachau World Heritage region, and the famous pilgrimage site of Mariazell are around an hour's drive away. With the Mariazellerbahn, Austria's longest narrow-gauge railway, you can enjoy a very special kind of (cycling) excursion. There is a stop just 1.5 km away. Our comfort camping site is located directly on the Danube Cycle Path (Donauradweg) and is also well suited for a stopover to Hungary - only 8 km to the A1 motorway. The village of Marbach is uniquely situated in the Nibelungengau, at the western gateway to the Wachau. Shaped by the Danube river, which is calmest here, and the steep cliffs, the place shows many charming buildings.
